I have a Nokia e71x from AT&T. I just installed BlueWhaleMail yesterday and noticed it's using the "AT&T MMS" access point to connect. I tried to change the access point by going to HELP --> OPTIONS --> CHECK CONNECTIONS but it doesn't let me Select An Access Point it just sends me right back to Settings. Do you know a way around this? I want to change my access point to "Operator (Proxyless)".

I love the app so far and am really hoping to use BlueWhaleMail to replace my Emoze mail client.

Hi KamikazeKitty,

Thanks for your kind words about BlueWhaleMail. The application is "smart" and will try and use any Access Point that it can, with a preference for that last one that it used (or better yet, WLAN if available). So to force it to use a particular Access Point requires a little work. (Disclaimer: please only try this if you're happy with editing Access Points!)

1. Stop the BlueWhaleMail application.
2. Disable all your other Access Points - my favoured approach is to add an "x" character to the end of all the access point names that you wish to disable (and WLAN network names if you have WLAN Access Points set up).
3. Start the BlueWhaleMail application, ensure you are sending and receiving email and/or Facebook items successfully.
4. Enable all your other Access Points again by undoing the change applied in step 2.

Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

Kind regards,
Richard
