Read this if you want to install BlueWhaleMail software on Sony Ericsson W880i (or similar) phone.

To download and install the BlueWhaleMail software on your SonyEricsson W950i follow the steps described below.

Downloading

We have provided a number of Options to get the BlueWhaleMail software onto your phone. We recommend that you use Option 1 to start a download from a web address we send to your phone in a Text Message. Enter your mobile number in Download Option 1 on the left and click the button "Send me a Text Message with the web link".

If you already have BlueWhaleMail software installed and are trying to upgrade it, please see Upgrading BlueWhaleMail software first.

Wait for the Text Message to arrive on your phone. Note: when you select Option 1, we'll send two Text Messages. Each one is a different type. This is because on some phones one type works better than the other. You can try to use either one. If you do not receive any Text Messages please visit I did not receive any Text Messages post. In this post we provide instructions on how to use one of the Text Messages.
You should have received at least one of the two Text Messages we sent you. For the W880i, try the one that does not have a globe icon next to it. In the message body you will see a web address.
Focus over the web address to highlight the text and press the middle key. You can also press Open on the left soft key.
The phone's Internet browser window will open. You are now connecting to the Internet. If you are experiencing troubles connecting to the Internet, please visit I can not connect to the Internet on my phone when I try to download BlueWhaleMail Software post.
Focus over Start Download Now text and press Select
You will see the progress bar of the download. The download might take a few seconds.

Installing

When your phone asks where to install BlueWhaleMail software select the default Applications folder. NOTE: When you choose the default location, the BlueWhaleMail software will be saved in Menu -> Organizer -> Applications -> BlueWhaleMail
Your phone will show you where the BlueWhaleMail software is saved.
When asked Start now? Select Yes

You have now successfully completed Step 1 and installed BlueWhaleMail software on your phone. You can now go back to the SonyEricsson Quick Start Guide W880i and continue with the next step of the installation process (Step 2).
